Installation Steps

Follow each step in order. Before you begin, park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.

Step 1 — Remove the Center Console Trim

Grip the side of the center console trim panel near the armrest and pull firmly to release the retaining clips. Work your way around the edges, lifting upward and backward to free the entire trim piece. Set it aside in a safe location.

Step 2 — Remove the Dashboard Surround Panel

Use a plastic pry tool to gently release the clips holding the dashboard surround panel in place. Start from the bottom edge near the climate controls and work your way around. Avoid using metal tools that could scratch or damage the plastic trim.

Step 3 — Unscrew and Remove the Factory Radio

Locate the screws securing the factory radio unit. Use a screwdriver or power drill with an appropriate socket to remove them. Some screws may be located deep within the dashboard cavity — a long socket extension will help reach them. Keep all screws organized for reassembly later.

Step 4 — Disconnect the Factory Wiring Harnesses

With the factory radio pulled forward, disconnect each wiring harness by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight out. Some connectors may have a red locking tab that needs to be lifted first. Do not force any connector — take a moment to identify the release mechanism before pulling. Label the connectors if needed for reference.

Step 5 — Transfer Components to the New Panel

Carefully transfer the climate control knobs, air vents, and any factory modules from the original dashboard panel to the new Topdisplay panel. These components press or clip into matching slots on the new panel — align them properly and press firmly until they snap into place. Use a screwdriver to re-secure any screws where needed.

Step 6 — Connect the New Wiring Harness

Connect the included Topdisplay wiring harness to the back of the new 15.6-inch QLED display. Match each connector to its corresponding port — the connectors are keyed and will only fit one way. Attach the 4G antenna cable, GPS antenna (if equipped), USB extension cables, and any other included accessories. Pay attention to cable labels such as "MIC," "IR," and "USB" to route them correctly.

Step 7 — Power On and Test BEFORE Final Mount

CRITICAL: Before securing the display into the dashboard, reconnect the negative battery terminal and power on the system. Verify the following:

•       The display powers on and shows the Topdisplay boot screen

•       Touch screen responds correctly to taps and swipes

•       Wireless CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto connect successfully

•       Factory climate controls display and respond on screen

•       Audio plays through all speakers with no distortion

•       Steering wheel buttons function as expected

If any function does not work, double-check all connections before proceeding. It is far easier to fix a loose connector now than after the entire dashboard is reassembled.

Step 8 — Secure the Display and Reassemble the Trim

Once all tests pass, route the cables neatly behind the display and push the unit into the dashboard cavity until it sits flush. Ensure no wires are pinched between the panel and the dash frame. Reinstall all trim panels in reverse order of removal — press each piece firmly to engage all retaining clips. Reinsert any screws removed during disassembly.

Step 9 — Final Feature Verification

With the installation complete, perform a final walkthrough of all features to ensure everything operates correctly:

•       Dual-zone climate controls — adjust temperature and fan speed from the touch screen

•       Physical volume knob — confirm the knob adjusts volume and shows the on-screen indicator
