Note: The Ford F150 2015-2018 is used as an installation example. This guide illustrates the general installation process; specific steps may vary slightly depending on your vehicle configuration. Always refer to your vehicle's service manual when in doubt.
Installation Steps
Step 1 — Remove the dashboard trim panels
Use a plastic pry tool to gently pop off the upper and side trim pieces around the factory radio area. Work slowly to avoid cracking the clips.

Step 2 — Remove the factory radio
Unscrew the mounting bolts and carefully pull the original unit out of the dashboard cavity. Keep the screws for reuse.

Step 3 — Transfer key components to the new unit
Carefully move over the OEM circuit board, control motor, and faceplate clips to retain factory climate and steering wheel functions. Handle the parts with care.

Step 4 — Attach the mounting brackets
Secure the metal brackets to the sides of the new unit using the supplied screws. Make sure they sit flush before tightening.

Step 5 — Connect the wiring harness
Plug the vehicle's connectors into the new unit's harness adapter — all plugs are keyed and only fit one way. Push until each connector clicks.

Step 6 — Power-on test (do this before final mounting)
Connect the new unit loosely and turn on the ignition. Confirm the screen powers up, sound works, and all controls respond before you lock it in place. This saves you from re-opening the dash later.

Step 7 — Tidy wiring and mount the screen
Bundle and secure excess wires behind the dash, then press the new unit firmly into the dashboard cavity until it clicks into place.

Step 8 — Reinstall trim and enjoy
Snap all trim pieces back into place and enjoy your new 12.1-inch QLED touchscreen with wireless CarPlay & Android Auto.
