Installation Guide

Ford Escape 2013-2018 | Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Remove the Factory Trim Panel

Use a plastic pry tool to gently release the clips along the top edge of the dashboard trim above the radio. Work slowly to avoid scratching the surface.

Step 2: Remove the Central Bezel Assembly

Carefully pull the entire center bezel forward, including the AC vents and radio surround. Set it aside on a soft surface to prevent scratches.

Step 3: Remove the Old Radio & Disconnect Wiring

Unscrew the factory radio from its bracket, pull it out of the dash, and unplug all wiring connectors from the back of the unit.

Step 4: Transfer AC Vents to the New Bracket

Detach the AC vents from the old bezel and clip them into the new Topdisplay mounting bracket. Ensure each vent snaps in securely.

Step 5: Connect the Wiring Harness

Plug the included Topdisplay wiring harness into the back of the new radio. Match each connector to its corresponding port — all plugs are uniquely shaped to prevent mistakes.

Step 6: Slide the New Radio into the Dashboard

With wiring confirmed, carefully slide the new Topdisplay radio unit into the dashboard opening. Guide the cables gently so they don't get pinched.

Step 7: Secure All Trim Panels

Snap the bezel and all trim pieces back into place around the new radio. Press firmly along all edges until each clip clicks in for a flush fit.

Step 8: Final Check & Enjoy

Remove the protective film from the screen. Power on and enjoy your new Topdisplay system with Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, and HD touch display.
