Product Overview

Topdisplay delivers a premium infotainment upgrade for the Mazda 3 (2010–2013). The 9-inch QLED touchscreen brings modern connectivity to your vehicle while preserving full use of factory steering wheel controls and climate functions.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Battery

For safety, always disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal before working on any vehicle electronics. Use a wrench to loosen the nut, then lift the cable off the terminal and tuck it aside.

Step 2: Remove the Dash Trim Panel

Use a plastic trim removal tool to gently pry around the edges of the center dash panel. Work your way around carefully to release the clips without scratching the dashboard.

Step 3: Unplug the Factory Radio

With the trim panel removed, locate the wiring connectors behind the factory radio. Press the release tabs and pull each connector straight out. There are typically two or three harness plugs plus the antenna cable.

Step 4: Remove the Factory Radio

After all connectors are detached, slide the factory radio unit out of the dash cavity. Set it aside — you will not need it anymore.

Step 5: Connect the New Wiring Harness

Take the Topdisplay wiring harness and connect it to the vehicle's factory plugs. The connectors are shaped to fit only one way — no guesswork needed. Match each plug to its corresponding socket on the new harness.

Step 6: Mount the New Unit (Loose Fit)

Slide the new Topdisplay unit into the dash opening. Route the GPS antenna cable behind the dash toward the passenger side for a clean look. Do not fully tighten the mounting screws yet.

Step 7: Power-On Test

Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition. The Topdisplay screen should light up and boot into the Android interface within seconds. Verify that the touchscreen responds, sound comes through the speakers, and the climate controls still work below the screen.

Step 8: Test Wireless CarPlay & Features

While still in test mode, pair your phone via Bluetooth and try Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. Confirm GPS signal, radio reception, and steering wheel buttons all function correctly. Make any needed adjustments before finalizing.

Step 9: Final Assembly

Once everything works as expected, tighten all mounting screws and snap the trim panels back into place. Give the dash a gentle press around all edges to ensure a flush, factory-like fit. Your Mazda 3 now has a modern infotainment system.
