1. About Topdisplay

2. Product Overview

This kit replaces the factory radio in the 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma with a 14.5-inch QLED touch-screen stereo driven by an 8-core CPU. It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while keeping the OEM controls you already use every day.

3. Installation Steps

Work through the steps in order.

Step 1 — Prepare the Head Unit

On a workbench, plug the GPS antenna, the main wiring harness, and the CAN bus decoder into the back of the head unit.

Connect the antenna, harness, and CAN bus decoder to the back of the unit.

Step 2 — Remove the Dash Trim Panel

Pry off the trim panel surrounding the factory screen with the included trim tool.

Step 3 — Remove the Factory Head Unit

Undo the mounting bolts, slide the factory radio out, and unplug all of its cables.

Slide the factory unit out and disconnect all cables.

Step 4 — Connect the Vehicle Plugs

Connect the truck's factory plugs to the matching connectors on the new harness. A few factory plugs will remain unused — this is normal.

Match each factory plug to the new harness; unused plugs are normal.

Step 5 — Connect All Cables

Attach every harness lead, antenna, and USB cable to its matching port, then route the wiring neatly into the dash cavity.

Step 6 — Install the New Head Unit

Set the head unit into the dash opening and secure it with the factory bolts.

Step 7 — Reinstall the Trim Panel

Press the trim panel back on until every clip clicks into place.

Step 8 — Power On and Verify

Start the truck, pair your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, and confirm the steering wheel controls and factory backup camera work as before.

5. Helpful Notes

●        Depending on trim level, up to five factory plugs may have no matching connector — leaving them unplugged is normal and affects nothing.

●        For the first wireless CarPlay or Android Auto connection, pair the phone once over Bluetooth with Wi-Fi enabled; it reconnects automatically afterwards.

●        If a function does not respond, reseat the harness and CAN bus connections, then restart the vehicle. Keep the factory radio and bolts in case the truck is ever returned to stock.
